England and I have been together 2 and a half months now, can you believe it?
This morning I actually woke up to the smell of coffee, an utter first! My housemate Amlyn had a day off today, so he woke up around the time I did and made coffee. We're the only coffee drinkers in the house, and even though he loves espresso more than filter coffee, the coffeepot is overall more convenient, and the first time I brought it home he loved it -- I don't think he knew what to make of it at first! I'll probably leave it with him when I leave, he'll love that.
There's snow on the ground! And it's staying! It's sunny and crisp and clear and the houses are emitting steam from different little orifices all over -- and I think they've salted the streets, too.
A week ago, Stef put up a mini-Christmas tree in our living room with multi-colored lights. Over the weekend, Leander and Joe and Amlyn and I sat around the living room cutting out paper snowflakes in different sizes to put on the tree for ornaments and it looks really good! I've been wanting to do an art project of sorts for this house, cause I did loads of them in the townhouse in Atlanta -- I've been wanting to paint a giant window-frame but I don't think I'll manage that in this house.
Little by little, England's growing on me.
