The day before the last day of the year! I'm not even going to try to wrap my arms around this past year. How do you come to the beginning of something else? How do you know it's the beginning when the first and last page of a book look exactly alike? It's all too blank to tell.
I love when I love people so much, I love when I'm surprised by loving them. Good friends are just so very, very good.
England is a little chilly ("feels like 25"). We've had quite a few gray days, with light that doesn't really get light all throughout the day. The sun sets early, making more than half my day dark. But sunsets last longer. Sunsets always remind me of "The Little Prince." I make dinner with someone, usually, and I love the company. The year ends with happy dinners and late nights and half-dark days. My sleep schedule is like the length of the days of the year. It slows and speeds. Right now it's slow, a slow kind of sleep that gets me and stretches out my time in bed, a little too much right now but with the waxing comes the waning. I let it go.
