Luxury day

I miss my apron from back home -- I always feel more productive when I wear it on these domestic luxury days. I'm treating myself to a clean house and then maybe a clean bath later on.

I've cleaned everything in my room, tidied most of the house, sewed back all the buttons that have fallen off everything they've fallen off of in the past year, and even fixed a dress that I bought at a thrift store almost a year ago -- it was a couple dollars and I bought it even though it wasn't perfect because I wanted it to be a project. It needed hemming and the straps needed to be re-sewn -- and I even added lace to make the strap height perfect.

*This* is vacation.

Christmas was fantastic -- and by that I mean my stomach certainly grew about 4 inches wider than it was before I sat down to a Yorkshire dinner. I'd say more about it but I might still be full -- and still slowly, slowly digesting.
